The messaging app WhatsApp suffered an hours-long outage on Saturday just days after it entered into a $19 billion deal with Facebook.
WhatsApp was inaccessible to many users around the globe, and many users flocked to Twitter to voice their discontent with Facebook, who just agreed Wednesday to buy the popular internet messaging service.
The company announced in a tweet Saturday it was encountering a server issue:
Users were quick to point fingers at the social media giant, though it’s unclear what caused WhatsApp to crash.
