The Capital One Venture Rewards Credit Card and the Capital One Venture X Rewards Credit Card are two of the best travel credit cards in existence. They earn rewards that can be converted into airline miles and hotel points for (nearly) free travel, and come with handy benefits that can boost the quality of your travel.

The cards also come with identical welcome bonuses and they’re among the most generous offers on the market for a limited time. You’ll receive 75,000 bonus miles and $250 in credit for travel booked through Capital One Travel after meeting minimum spending requirements. That’s worth at least $1,000 in travel (and much more if you know the best ways to use Capital One miles).

Let’s take a quick look at both of these cards to help you determine which will best complement your travel style.

Both the card_name and card_name now offer a welcome bonus of 75,000 bonus miles and $250 in credit to use on Capital One Travel purchases during your first cardmember year after you spend $4,000 on purchases within the first three months from account opening. The previous offer included 75,000 bonus miles but no $250 credit.

There are multiple ways to redeem Capital One miles to discount your upcoming travels. For example, you can:

  • Redeem miles for 1 cent each for airfare, hotel stays, rental cars, and more through Capital One Travel.
  • Redeem miles at a rate of 1 cent each as a statement credit to offset virtually any travel purchase (whether you reserve through Capital One Travel or not).
  • Transfer miles to airline and hotel loyalty programs to book inexpensive award travel.

When redeeming Capital One miles for travel at a rate of 1 cent each, the 75,000-mile bonus is worth $750. With the added limited-time $250 credit, this card bonus is worth an easy $1,000 in travel.

But the best way to use Capital One miles is to convert them to airline miles and hotel points, as it’s possible to receive a value much greater than 1 cent per mile. For example, you could:

  • Transfer 63,000 miles to Avianca for a one-way business class flight from Chicago to Zurich on SWISS (a $3,000+ value).
  • Transfer 55,000 points to Flying Blue for a round-trip economy flight from Los Angeles to Tahiti on Air France (a $1,500+ value).
  • Transfer 75,000 miles to Turkish Airlines for five round-trip economy flights between Washington, DC, and San Francisco on United Airlines (a $1,300+ value).
  • Transfer 87,000 miles to Emirates for a business class flight between New York and Milan on Emirates (a $2,500+ value).

Award flights are subject to availability, so you may need a bit of flexibility in your travel dates if you want to book the above itineraries. But as you can see, the potential value is immense.

TIME Stamp: Capital One Venture cards now offer one of the best bonuses we’ve ever seen

The current bonuses offered by the card_name and card_name are better than anything we’ve seen from these cards in recent memory. Even if you aren’t a travel rewards expert, you can easily squeeze at least $1,000 from this offer.

If you’ve been eyeing either of these Capital One credit cards, now is one of the best times to apply.
